Which team should Kenyans support in the FIFA World Cup 2010?

With only about 50 days to go to the kick-off of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, I am curious to know which team Kenyans will support.

We all know that Kenya didn't make it to the World Cup this time round, but we love soccer, so I am sure we will still eagerly follow all the matches. But which team should we support?





Fan of Brazil

Should we support an African team because we are on the same continent? This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation. The African teams are Algeria, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. Which African country do we feel most related to?

Or should we support England because they colonized us, we speak their language and the Premier League is extremely popular in Kenya?

Should we support USA, because more than 100,000 Kenyans live in the US? And of course because their President has Kenyan roots. Problem with the USA of course is that their team sucks.

Should we support France, because there are several 'Africans' in their team?

Or should we support Brazil because their female fans are almost as hot as our Kenyan girls?

Or should we support Argentina, Italy, Germany, Spain or the Netherlands simply because they are just great soccer teams?
